1989. 16 years old. salvador dali museum, st. pete florida. first tab of acid. hallucinogenic toreador and alice cooper in hologram. back home through orange groves and cattle ranches. stone roses on cassette, worn to baldness. black 1972 vw beetle. breaks down. pushing. never happier.

I was five years old when Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art galleries bought this painting ! Visiting Kelvingrove Art galleries was an absolutely wonderful experience for me as a child growing up in the tenements of Glasgow (Govan). I loved this place . As a young child I looked up and gazed at this iconic image hundreds of times , annoyed that I couldn't see his face .
